SFS works with private schools to create a shared-time model to fit individual needs.

Shared-time services is a State of Michigan program that allows public schools to provide services to the private schools in the non-core elective areas for grades K-12.

The non-core areas include:

  • Art
  • Computers/technology
  • Foreign Language
  • Music (vocal/instrumental)
  • Physical Education

Additional electives include Advanced Placement and online-learning opportunities through Michigan Virtual High School.

The Shared-Time Program has been in existence for decades, and recent legislative changes have expanded geographical boundaries.
